Tell Me 1. Brakes Check
Question: Tell me how you’d check that the brakes are working before starting a journey.
Answer: Brakes should not feel spongy or slack. Brakes should be tested as you set off. Vehicle should not pull to one side.
Tell Me 2. Tyre Pressures
Question: Tell me where you’d find information for recommended tyre pressures and how to check them.
Answer: Check the manufacturer’s manual. Use a reliable pressure gauge when tyres are cold, check all tyres (including spare), and refit valve caps.
Tell Me 3. Head Restraint Adjustment
Question: Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted.
Answer: The rigid part should be at least as high as the eye level or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as comfortable.
Tell Me 4. Tyre Tread Depth & Condition

Answer: No cuts or bulges. Minimum tread depth is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the breadth and around the entire outer circumference.
